Walking (and Whistling) into 2010

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Friends!

I wish I had a picture of Mirabel walking. She's actually been taking steps since the beginning of December but, poor third child, I haven't had a chance to share. Also noteworthy, Naomi has a very exciting and new talent: whistling. Here's to making 2010 a year full of new and exciting adventures for all!

Bathtub Shenanigans

Our girls really know how to entertain themselves (and us).

BFFs

Naomi and some of her best friends

It's really fun to hear Nom talk about all of her friends at school, and even more fun to watch them in action. The reality is that these girls will probably spend the next twelve years together and be some of Nomi's best friends. Can't wait to see what friendships bloom into life long friends.

Opposite Day

In this case, "no" definitely means "yes." This kid will eat anything.

What?

Are there really only 11 days until Christmas?

This time of year is insane...parties, end of school, more parties, gift buying, crowds, traffic, chaos. It becomes hard to strip that stuff away to remember that what's more important is making the most of the rare opportunities to connect with family and friends. Here's to enjoying each of the crazy moments this season...and lots of Settlers of Catan! Our house is always open.

Chicago! Chocolate!

At the Hershey's store on Michigan Avenue

I'm so behind on blog entries. This one deserves more time than I've got. Naomi and I got to spend a special weekend together with my mom in Chicago - in November. It was a great trip and included many firsts for Nom... riding a tour bus and taxi, seeing dolphins (Shedd Aquarium), staying in a hotel and many more. Lots of highlights and fun memories, but it's much easier to recap in pictures. Hopefully it's the beginning of a tradition.
