Sunshine and Football

Mirabel in her floppy hat

We actually saw the sun today for the first time in over a week. And while it's been raining like cats and dogs outside, we've had a bit of a dry spell on posts. No excuse really other than crazy schedules. This weekend, however, was refreshingly unplanned and low key. We even got to watch Sunday afternoon football. Go Bengals!

Preschool!

Selah's first day

Selah started preschool on Wednesday. She was so excited, had a great day and I'm confident that it will be a tremendous year! However, I'm not sure how I'll handle the extreme quietness in the house while she's gone. I love you, Squeal and am excited for this new adventure.

Race For the Cure

The finish line, with a view of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Covington, KY.

I raced for the cure yesterday morning with Jen, Nichole and about 12,000 others. It was a great morning, amazing cause and a whole lot of fun! Check here for locations near you. More photos from the morning here.

Sorting Collage

collage.jpg

By color

Selah and I made collages the other day. She chose to sort by color, but you could really do anything...sort by number, letter, animals, plants, etc.. We started with cutting magazines, added colored glitter glue and finished with stickers. Selah sat for a good 30 minutes cutting, gluing and sticking, and was super excited to display the finished product on the frig.

10 Months

Today marks 10 months for Mirabel. All of the sudden, we don't have a baby anymore. She still scoots like a champ but has also mastered cruising on furniture and standing by herself (briefly). However, my favorite new skill of Mira's is sleeping through the night. Finally!

Belly also adores dogs, her sisters, food and experimenting with her fierce temper. She won't take 'no' for an answer. Can't wait to see what the next few months bring out in her.

P.S. We can now add stair climbing to the list. She mastered that today...yikes.
