Signs of the Times

Signs, signs, everywhere, signs.

Yesterday, I took a trip with some friends from work to the American Sign Museum, located right here in Cincinnati. For a history buff and wannabe design aficionado such as myself, this proved to be a very interesting 90-minute tour, given by none other than the museum's extremely knowledgeable founder. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend it (call ahead, the tour's by appointment only). Until then, here are some photos.

Weekend Plans?

If you're looking for something fun to do over the weekend, I've got the answer. Lots of food, rides and musical guests like Kenny Loggins and Eddie Money won't disappoint at this years Taste of Blue Ash. You're welcome to stay at our house if you just party too hard to make it home! Enjoy.

Jeff, Leta & the Girls

We had a fun visit with Jeff and Leta over the weekend. Saturday started at 7am (thanks to the girls) and included breakfast at First Watch, a trip to Eden Park and the Cincinnati Art Museum before they left to welcome home Leta's parents at the airport. Good times!

Bye Bye, Buddy!

We said goodbye to the Buddy today. Matt returned the scooter to our friends, Andrew & Rachel, who so generously allowed us to use it for the summer. Thank you, Peters!

My Little Fishies

073008_naomi.jpg

We've spent a lot of time in the water this summer thanks to friends with pools, vacation pools and my dad's neighborhood pool. The girls were both tentative at best in June but their courage is building.

Today was monumental for Naomi. She jumped into the "big" pool, unprompted and unassisted, going completely under water, over and over again, while figuring out how to hold her breath and blow out the water when she surfaced. She beamed with accomplishment as I swelled with pride. Way to go, Nomi. I'm so proud of you!

Here are a few more of my pool photo favorites:
