Houseguest

Walker (Texas Ranger)
We split a weekend dog-sitting favor with a friend, so we've got a bulldog puppy staying with us for 24 hours or so. The kids are having fun with him, and between the cicada invasion and the amount of food our girls drop on the floor, Walker is eating well.

Two Girls and Their Ducks

I spent last week in Ashland with the Chandlers, while Matt was in India. It was a huge blessing for me to have company and extra help with the girls. The week cruised by quickly and we all had a great time...and, I got a week reprieve from the cicadas. Yes! One of our outings was to Kingwood Center in Mansfield, a beautifully maintained estate with more gardens than the eye can see.
P.S. More from Matt about his trip to India soon.

Princess Party

It's all things princess in our household these days. Princess dresses, music, jewelry, stickers, shoes, you name it. So when the girls got an invitation to a princess party, it was all they could do to wait three weeks for the big event. A big shout out to the king in the mix! He's a bit outnumbered.

We went to the butterfly show at Krohn Conservatory with G & G Rambo yesterday. Fun!

100MPG

$4 gas...who cares?
This is the new ride, on loan for the summer from our good (and very generous) friends Rachel and AP. Let me just tell you, if you don't have friends willing to share whatever they own with no questions asked and no strings attached, get some. Life works much better that way.
Commuting on this thing is a blast, and it's easy and fun to beat guys in BMWs off the line at traffic lights. They love that. (Don't worry, Mom, I wear a helmet.)
