Devoted to Selah

Selah is coming into her own. She has a fiery, spunky and fiercely independent side and at the same time is caring, affectionate and incredibly loving. She's up and down the stairs now at record speeds, fearlessly bounds down slides, loves to brush her teeth and hair, talk on the phone, dance to music, carry purses, wear jewelry and take care of her dolls and animals. She laughs at precisely the right moment whenever Matt makes a joke... it's amazing. And even though she likes to do everything by herself, she keeps a close eye on where we are at all times. Selah loves Naomi, too. She loves to greet her in the morning, laugh at her tricks and watch every move she makes in attempt to mimic her actions.

Her vocabulary is exploding by the day. Hello, all gone, water, flower, backpack, apple, banana and NO are some of her usuals but my newest favorite is "Ramone." It's just too cute to hear her say!

Have I also mentioned how great Selah is at throwing tantrums? WOW! She could win an award for dramatic presentation. However, she will often come and plop down in my lap or give me a hug and kiss just because. It makes my heart melt! I think she knows what she's doing.

Selah, you are truly a one of a kind gem and I love you dearly!

Parky's Farm

The girls and I met some friends at Parky's Farm today. I've heard so many wonderful things about this place and am wondering what took us so long to go - it's great! We harvested our own vegetables and brought them home for a delicious salad. We played with the goats, fed ducks and fish and even went on a cool tractor ride through the woods and around the grounds. We had such a fun morning and really only scratched the surface of what this farm has to offer. Naomi can't wait to go back to ride the ponies.

Summer

Nothing quite says summer like popsicles and corn on the cob... in a princess dress.
