The Girls

I apologize for the lack of posts - we've been a bit busy lately. Here are a few pictures of the girls from last night. They keep us entertained!

Nomi & Quincy

Quincy is Naomi's new friend. They love to sing and play instruments together, jump off rocks, read books and eat meals together. He's in the pictures with Nomi. Where you ask? Right next to her. Don't you see him? Quincy comes to our house first thing in the morning and usually brings Rocket. Rocket and Quincy are typically with their other friends, the Little Einsteins, but for the past week they've been spending all of their time at our house.

Fresh Air

Outside at last!

Selah is eleven months now and is developing such a sweet and funny personality. She's determined to be in the middle of all activity, laughs at herself when she does something funny, enjoys brushing her hair and talking on the phone, loves her big sister Nomi and insists that all animals say, "bow."

Naomi on the other hand is 2 going on 15. Matt asked her to pick out a few stories to read before bed tonight. She grabbed her library bag full of books and said, "Here are the options, Dad" and proceeded to lay them on the floor quoting the titles and then picked out her favorites.

Buy This CD Now

Imagine John Mayer and Bono had a baby who had an innate love for Stevie Wonder's keyboard and Peter Gabriel's gravelly voice. They give this kid a glut of mischief and encourage his passion for the oppressed. He screams. A rock band is born.

Our faithful readership can attest to the fact that when I endorse something heartily, I do it with good reason. It's for your own good, people. I've written about this album before. And if my praise for this album isn't enough to get you to bite, try reading this review or this interview. Huh? Huh!?

Cal and I had the good fortune to get ourselves out of the house and to the official release concert for Comic Book Hero last night [iTunes]. We were also treated to a tremendous opening act, Dave Wolfenberger (a local favorite of mine). Good times.

If you're still reading this link-happy post, here's one more to click. It's a fun read, and there are a few mp3s in the Audio section.

Convinced? I'm hoping to see some reviews of your own in the comments section soon...

Cheese!

This might be hard to believe but this picture was not posed. I found the girls together on the couch, quickly grabbed the camera, called their names, snapped the shot and this is what I got. Pretty cute, huh? Immediately after the flash they were off in different directions.
