Walking Legs

Here she goes, folks. Selah is ready to walk. I've witnessed her taking a step or two by herself already, although she hasn't realized it. Her confidence is building quickly, however, and I'm sure it won't be long. Watch out, Nomi! I captured a few pictures today - some of Selah walking around with her riding toy, and one of Naomi looking a bit perplexed about this walking stuff.

Snow

Sunday was an exciting day for us - we woke up to snow on the ground and even more falling from the sky. Naomi couldn't wait to get outside and start building her first snowman. However, she quickly lost interest in building and prefered to just eat the snow.

On Culture & Cheeseburgers

Calley visited friends from college on Saturday, and took Selah with her so Naomi and I could spend the day together. Naomi woke up obsessed with finding a chocolate tree. (Uh, yeah. Thanks very much, Dora.) Chocolate trees are not native to the Cincinnati area, last time I checked, but thankfully Cal remembered that they have one here. After that successful expedition, I took Naomi on her first trip to the Cincinnati Art Museum. She liked how much paint van Gogh used on his "Undergrowth with Two Figures" (fourth photo below, one of my favorite pieces). Her high points of the day, however, were playing with this cat outside the museum and getting a cheeseburger on the way home. What a kid!

Impromptu Breakfast

For the past few weeks our girls have been waking up throughout the night - and it's taking a toll on all of us. So instead of being grumpy and frustrated at 6 am this morning when we were all up, we decided to make the best of it and indulge on breakfast. It was good for us to get out, fill our bellies with delicious food and start the day out on the right foot.

Selah @ 9 Months

Selah turned nine months old yesterday. We celebrated with Uncle Jeff. All of these pictures were taken this week. Recent developments of note:

:: Near-constant, recreational screaming has earned her the alias of "Screech."
:: Crawls like lightning and is cruising along easily while holding onto furniture.
:: Three teeth in, two more sprouting.
:: Loves her big sister and watches intently everything she does.

For reference, here is a picture of Naomi at nine months.
