Haircut
We took Naomi to get her first haircut last week. She was so excited about the idea and seemed to enjoy the two minute cut as well. We only had her hair trimmed but mostly wanted her to be comfortable with the process since this will be the first of many trips to the salon...

Hair It Is
It's too cold to be outside today. Unfortunately we've got several months of the same ahead so we're trying to come up with creative ideas for some fun inside. Nomi and I decided to play with hair and clips today while Selah took a nap. She was SO excited.

Uh-Oh!
We've got a crawler on our hands - Selah is officially mobile! And while maybe not fast or far yet she can get from point A to point B at her will. This is earlier than I expected. She must know that it's what she needs to do to keep up with her big sister.

45 Hours in NYC
I spent the weekend in New York City with about 25% of this blog's readership (Mike, Adam & Tony). We chose New York for our latest meet-up since Mike is now at Columbia working on his PhD in Economics. We had a great weekend of hanging out, good eats (including breakfast and, later, some great milkshakes at a little diner you might recognize), a Saturday morning walk through Central Park, a trip to MoMA (now my favorite museum - and, yes, Paris, I'm including the Louvre) and a free ride around New York Harbor on the Staten Island Ferry (it's the most fun you can have for free in the city!) Not too bad for less than 48 hours.
Check out photos from the trip.
Here are some of Tony's photos of artwork at MoMA.

6 Months
Half of a year already! Crazy. Selah is sitting up, rolling over both ways, standing holding on to things and just as sweet and smiley as can be. We love her so much!
Naomi also wanted me to display her lanterns that she made yesterday. She's so proud. It was a fun craft using lots of things that she was very excited to be able to use - scissors, hole punch, tape, markers, plain paper and colored ribbon. Cool!

Kept Busy This Weekend
Saturday we walked the "Purple People Bridge", took the girls to a park at Sawyer Point and then had breakfast at a great little place in Newport. This morning we hiked through Redbird Hollow, and then checked in on the Meier family reunion (Cal's grandmother's family) this evening.
