19 Months
Naomi is 19 months old today. She's more spunky and full of life and adventure by the minute. It's so entertaining! I love to see her experiment and explore everything she possibly can. Yesterday I found her quietly (that usually means trouble) playing in her room. She had taken a big, plastic tub from under her crib, placed it on top of her big girl bed and was proudly sitting on top of both reading her books. Today she discovered her baby sister's newborn diapers. I explained that they were not hers but for her baby sister when she comes out of mommy's belly. She immediately patted me and tried to put the diaper on my belly.
More news to come…soon!

One Week or Less
I went to the doctor yesterday and he said things are progressing. He may have been trying to keep me positive but he said I would have this baby before next week. Let's hope so! If not, an induction has been scheduled for Thursday, April 6th. So, either way, we'll be welcoming our new baby girl in one week or less. I'm excited!

Round Two
Sorry for the lack of updates over the past several days. We've had some serious computer problems - a fried motherboard and cable modem among other issues. Yikes! This afternoon is the first we've had an internet connection in almost two weeks. I didn't realize how dependent on the internet I had become until it wasn't available.
Anyway, here's the latest with us... still no baby! However, we did spend Friday night/ Saturday morning at the hospital yet again, only to be sent home. Third time is a charm, right?! We've had enough practice - it's go time!
Here's the room with a view (and an extremely flattering hospital gown), my trusty walking shoes and a very tired husband!

The Waiting Game
We are recouping from the false alarm yesterday and are somewhat on edge waiting for the "official" day. It is pretty common to walk around dilated for weeks so I'm not holding my breath but am hoping we have a new baby sooner than later. We took a few pictures last night of Naomi with her baby sister as she knows her right now - we'll have to wait and see what Nomi thinks of her when she's actually out of her uterine home. Stay tuned...

Trial Run
Matt and I spent several hours early this morning at the hospital wondering if we would welcome our new daughter today. She apparently wanted to test the waters and see if all systems were a go. I guess we failed her test because she let up on the constant and intense contractions and we were sent back home. The little stinker! Grandparents were summoned to come stay at the house with Naomi and be ready to hit the road to make it in time for the arrival of their newest granddaughter. False alarm or not, we can now say that we are all set to go when she decides to make her grand entrance.

Vocabulary
Naomi's vocabulary is quickly expanding - duck, mine, butt and back are her most recent additions. You can also include "NO" on the list. She surprised us with that one today. It's actually pretty cute when she says it with her finger pointing - but I know the charm will wear off by tomorrow!
Here are a few new photos to keep our tc.net fans happy: with grandma and grandpa last weekend and modeling her new duck barrettes.
